Minor Ailments
Our pharmacists can assess and prescribe for these minor ailments — no doctor's visit needed. Select an ailment to see common symptoms.
Mild acne
Blackheads, whiteheads, or pimples on the face, chest, or back.
Allergic rhinitis
Sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itchy eyes — triggered by pollen, pets, or dust.
Canker sores
Small painful sores inside the mouth, on the lips, or on the tongue.
Calluses and corns
Thickened, hardened patches of skin — usually on the feet — caused by friction or pressure.
Oral thrush
White patches, redness, or soreness inside the mouth.
Conjunctivitis / pink eye
Red, itchy, watery, or gritty eyes; sometimes with discharge.
Dermatitis
Dry, itchy, inflamed, or irritated patches of skin.
Diaper dermatitis
Red, irritated rash in the diaper area.
Dry eye
Gritty, burning, or scratchy eyes and a feeling of dryness.
Dysmenorrhea
Cramping lower-abdominal pain before or during menstrual periods.
GERD
Heartburn, a burning feeling in the chest, or an acidic taste in the mouth after meals.
Hemorrhoids
Itching, pain, swelling, or bleeding around the anus.
Cold sores
Tingling followed by small blisters on or around the lips.
Impetigo
Red sores — often around the nose and mouth — that burst and form honey-colored crusts.
Insect bites and hives
Red, itchy bumps or raised, swollen welts on the skin.
Mild tension headache
A dull, pressing ache on both sides of the head.
Sprains and strains
Pain, swelling, or bruising after twisting, stretching, or overusing a muscle or joint.
Nausea and vomiting of pregnancy
Nausea and vomiting, most common in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Head lice
Intense scalp itching; tiny insects or eggs (nits) visible in the hair.
Pinworms
Itching around the anus, often worse at night.
Dandruff
Flaking and itching of the scalp.
Tick bites / Lyme prevention
A recent tick bite with concern about Lyme disease; watch for an expanding rash.
Ringworm
Itchy, ring-shaped rash on the skin.
Jock itch
Itchy, red rash in the groin area.
Uncomplicated UTIs
Burning when urinating, urgency, and needing to urinate more often.
Warts
Small, rough skin growths (excluding face and genitals).
Nasal congestion
Stuffy or runny nose from a cold or viral infection.
Yeast infection
Vaginal itching, burning, or unusual discharge.
